Edit a full wedding film, chapter by chapter
A full wedding movie gives the day more room than a highlight. Wedit keeps its chapters in one project, so you can work on the intro, ceremony, reception, party and outro and bring the completed chapters together.
One wedding, one project
Open Full movie and add footage to the chapters you need. Return to that same project when another part of the wedding is ready. You can rename chapters, change their order and add new ones to suit the day.
An empty chapter is left out of the final movie. You do not need to fill every part of the starting layout to export the chapters you used.
Choose how each chapter is handled
- Montage. For footage you want selected and cut around music, such as an intro or outro. Choose a song, set the sections and add the corresponding clips.
- Multicam. For an event recorded from several camera angles. Synchronize the recordings and build an edit of the event. A separate sound recorder can supply the audio.
- Live. For continuous footage that should appear as it is, with optional audio sync. The files are prepared locally and included in the movie and timeline export.
Available modes depend on the chapter. Intro and outro use montage; Party offers Multicam or Live. When adding a new chapter, choose the mode for the material you have.
Build the intro and outro around their own music
Each intro or outro can use up to three sections from the wedding section list. Choose the music, adjust the section lengths and add the footage you want to use. Review the generated chapter and return to its files when you need to make changes.
Use Highlights when you want a separate short film covering more of the wedding day.
Keep the ceremony together
The Ceremony Multicam workflow accepts up to five video files and optional recorder audio. It is intended for coverage of the same event from different angles, rather than selecting a few moments for a music montage.
Include continuous footage with Live
Live accepts up to five video files. Add them in the order you want them to appear and include recorder files if you need audio synchronization. This is useful for footage that already has the coverage you want, such as a continuous performance or part of the reception.
Live is part of Full movie. It appears alongside the other completed chapters when you produce the final movie or export its timeline.
Review and finish the whole movie
Check the completed chapters, their order and the transitions between them before exporting. Keep the original media connected for the final output and for finishing in your editing software.
