AI Wedding Editing - FAQ

Can AI really edit a wedding video?

Yes - a complete highlight film, not a highlight reel of random pretty shots. Wedit watches the footage, understands the structure of the day, and cuts the strongest moments to your music. The result is a finished film you can deliver or refine.

How long does it take?

A first complete cut typically arrives in well under an hour, depending on the amount of footage. Editing the same wedding by hand is usually a full working day or more before the creative polish even starts.

Does it work with my cameras?

Wedit works with standard video files from the cameras wedding filmmakers actually use. Drop the clips into the media pool as they are - there is no proprietary format and no re-encoding step to prepare.

Do I keep creative control?

Fully. You choose the music, the length, and the shots you care about before generating, and the board lets you swap, reorder, or replace any cut afterwards. The AI does the long first pass; your taste finishes it.

Can I finish the film in my own editor?

Yes. The cut exports to Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro with shots and timing intact.

Does it learn my style?

Yes, over time. When a shot on the board is not to your taste, mark it 👎 - the feedback fixes the current film and teaches the editor what you consider a bad shot, so the choices improve from wedding to wedding.

What about the couple's privacy?

The footage remains yours and is used to produce your film. We do not publish, share, or sell customer footage.

What does it run on?

Wedit is a desktop application for macOS and Windows. Download it here.

Is it finished?

Wedit is in beta. The core flow - import, generate, refine, export - works today on real weddings, and the edit engine improves with every release. The honest way to evaluate it is to run a wedding you have already delivered and compare.
